ANN M. GROTTVEIT joined KSC in November 2007 as a litigation attorney. She is admitted to the California State Bar, as well as all Federal District Courts of California and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, she is a member of the state bars of Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin, and admitted to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and Federal District Courts in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Ann received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin, School of Law and has 20 years of litigation experience. Prior to joining KSC, Ann was a partner in a commercial law firm in Nebraska where she developed her expertise on real estate title litigation and bankruptcy litigation. Since joining KSC in 2007, Ann has focused her practice on agriculture, environmental litigation and regulatory concerns including PACA, the Clean Air Act and CEQA claims. She has expertise representing clients in matters before the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Department of Pesticide Regulation, the Air Resources Board, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Employment Development Department.

In addition to her law practice, Ann is involved with local organizations in Sacramento, including the Sunrise Elementary School Site Council and is a member of the Women's Bar of Sacramento. Ann lives in the Sacramento area with her husband Tony Gates and their children Oliver and Delaney.
