Courtney E. Griffin

Courtney E. Griffin joined the firm in 2013. She graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2012 where she was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board and International Law Review Journal. She also coordinated the National Criminal Procedure Tournament, participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Competition, and worked as a Teaching Assistant for legal researching and writing classes. Courtney received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award which is given to the highest scoring student in each law school class, for recognition for her work in Corrections and Sentencing.

Courtney interned for the Honorable Peter C. Lewis, with a focus on habeas corpus petitions, and worked for a non-profit law firm that administers appointment of appellate attorneys.

Prior to attending law school, Courtney graduated with honors from the George Washington University with a double major in History and Political Science. While living in the District of Columbia, Courtney worked at the National Archives and Record Administration, assisting researchers navigating federal records. She also worked for a District of Columbia Councilmember.

Courtney is an active volunteer for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, with whom she has worked for over four years.
